We had four projects funded and have received new headphones, personal cd players, and books on cd to be used during the Daily Five. Our students are very excited to use these new tools in the classroom.
BookroomOur new and improved Ackerman Bookroom is up and running. A special thank you to the PTO for helping us fund this project. We have purchased new leveled text to add to our current inventory. Our students are very excited to read the new books.
QuickReads2nd-5th grade students will begin using the QuickReads program to increase their reading fluency. This program uses headsets with microphones for students to read into. Research has shown that this program helps students make substantial gains in fluency.
