Welcome to the READ webpage. This is my 2nd year teaching at Ackerman and I enjoy working with students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. We are working really hard this year on achieving our school goal of every student improving their reading level.
Class Announcements BookroomOur new and improved Ackerman Bookroom is up and running. A special thank you to the PTO for helping us fund this project. We have purchased new leveled text to add to our current inventory. Our students are very excited to read the new books.
QuickReads2nd-5th grade students will begin using the QuickReads program to increase their reading fluency. This program uses headsets with microphones for students to read into. Research has shown that this program helps students make substantial gains in fluency.
